Sweet Success

Here’s a beauty ©1980.
Sweet Success
Desserts that taste like you spent the whole day baking!

46 pages containing 48 recipes all calling for a delicious Pillsbury cake mix and/or canned frosting. A handy Index is located on the back cover, actually a feature I kind of like. It contains the 70’s carry over, “Golden Granola Pound Cake.”

Overall there isn’t much to poke fun at. The inside photography is pleasing to the eye, a Pillsbury standard. They sure took a piece of crap picture for the cover. There is a photo for each recipe too.

The last few pages have helpful hints such as “removing cake from pan” and where to send away to for microwaving your cake recipes. Now that sounds like a trend that never really caught on. And we can’t forget the ever popular and seldom used “Notes” page at the end.

The overall condition is pretty good, It is stitch (stapled) bound and has a few creases on the spine.  It has some wear on the cover and a few lard or frosting stains on the inside back cover. The back cover also has approximately 1/8 in. of the lower corner missing. It doesn’t smell of basement too bad.

All this for the remarkable price of $1.00 plus 2.50 shipping and handling. Buy Now
